Autoclavable Covers

Cover The material used in the CLAD Industries Autoclavable Covers is 100% polyester filament. The carbon (black) fiber is polyester based with a carbon core.

The fabric was designed as an instrument wrapper for sterilization of medical packs, including gowns, towels, drapes, or instruments in a steam autoclave. It has been in use both in North America and Europe since 1987 for this application. The products made from this fabric are Class2 medical devices and registered with the FDA as such. The 510K's show it to hold properties deemed acceptable as sterilization wraps for 70 wash, dry, autoclave cycles. The fabric is treated with a fluorochemical water repellent and has a level of hydrostatic resistance (about 22cm as measured on a Suterhydrostatic device) which has been proven to protect against incidental condensate and to maintain a sterile environment on the shelf.
