Automation Crash Wall

Crash Wall The CLAD Industries automation crash wall is a UL accepted wall to protect operators of robotic equipment in the case of a catastrophic error or programming issue. Where our automation barrier wall is designed to physically separate users from the equipment, the crash wall is specifically designed to absorb the impact of a robot moving at high speed and keep it out of the space where people may be present. This wall is used where hard stops and other methods of failure protection are not available -- or as a backup to these protections.

The automation crash wall was designed for a specific customer facility that was going through a UL inspection and approval process. This customer has issues with a portion of the robot having the ability, despite hard stops and other protection methods, to penetrate the existing barrier at a specific location. This was unacceptable to the UL inspectors. Our custom designed robotic crash wall was UL accepted for this purpose and has since been installed in other facilities.
