CLAD Industries gets UL Approval

CLAD Industries Automation Crash Walls with a rated impact resistance of 71,000 Newtons, gets UL approval.

When our customer came to us with a problem of an automation guard wall situated within the reach of the robotic arm, we had to design a wall that would protect the workers and overcome the forces generated by the robot, without taking up any more floor space.

After taking into account the weight, speed and furthest reach of the robot arm we were able to determine the impact force that could be generated at maximum velocity. We then designed a wall that was able to withstand a considerably higher force.

We submitted our design specifications, with shear strengths of all materials to be used. A review by UL approved our design and paved the way for our latest product offering.
